RUMIS

about the game

RUMIS - the Stairs

RUMIS - an award winning three-dimensional abstract strategy game, using colourful, high quality and tactile wooden building blocks - the stones.

One of the easiest ways to describe the appeal of RUMIS is to call it 3D Tetris, or 3D Blokus - the fun and tactics lie in working out which pieces your opponents have left, and then adjusting your strategy to block them in!

RUMIS - the Stairs

Choose a board to play on, then choose a set of eleven unique stones all of the same colour.

The first player places a stone on the board, and the rival players now place their first stones, touching at least one face of an opponents stone.

You now take it in turns to place stones, one at a time, on the board, always touching at least one face of your own colour.

The game is over when all the stones have been placed, or when nobody can play anymore, and the player with the most stones' faces visible from above is the winner!

There are three double-sided playing boards, giving you a choice of six different buildings to construct while you play - with the rules to placing the stones being dependent on the type of building and the number of players.

The simplicity of the rules, coupled with the variety of the buildings, means that the game is quick to learn but has substantial depth and the 'let's play again' factor.
